Meet the Candidates
Edward Kronfli(current Board member):
Edward (Eddy) Kronfli is the owner and viticulturist of Vine Shepherd Vineyard Management and has been farming and ranching in Paso Robles since 2018. After completing his studies at UC Davis, he has worked with many different wineries and management firms including Domaine Chandon, Gallo, and Roberts Vineyard Services before setting out on his own. As both a vineyard owner as well as vineyard manager specializing in smaller, boutique vineyards, Eddy states that he is passionate about representing small growers to help get stronger contracts and grow better fruit, benefitting the entire Paso Robles region as a result. He has been a member of IGGPRA since 2018 and has been volunteering with board meetings for the past year and looks to be elected as a full time member of the board.
Ivan Gonzales(current Board Member):
I have been a California native my entire life. Born and raised in the wine region of the Napa Valley and son to a generational farmer and one of many in my family to be involved in the vineyards. I attended school at CalPoly San Luis Obispo where my studies were focused in Wine and Viticulture. I have diverse wine growing experience and have farmed at different wine regions in California including Napa, Sonoma, Monterey, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties. I am happily married and am getting plenty of life lessons raising a frolicking four year old. In my free time I enjoy staying active including going on hikes and practicing martial arts.
Bill Livingston (current Board Member):
Bill is an engineer in the oil and gas business. He and his wife own a small vineyard in Paso Robles area under the name Kaweahsrun. He currently is Events Chair and is responsible for IGGPRA presence at WiVi each year, as well as other events.
Scott Matthews (current Board Member):
Scott is currently IGGPRA Treasurer. He is a winemaker and winery called 915 Lincoln. Is also Member of the Wines and Steins, a home winemaking and brewing organization. Scott owns Oak View Properties in the Paso Robles area.
Rudy Schalk:
Rudy Schalk is a vineyard owner, educator, and engineering professional dedicated to advancing sustainable viticulture. In addition to owning a vineyard, Rudy serves as a Faculty member in BioResources & Ag Engineering at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. With a distinguished career in engineering and research, including leadership roles in research and technology development at Rolls-Royce and Flextronics, Rudy has spearheaded large-scale innovation and business development initiatives. A graduate of The Ohio State University with a Master’s in Geodetic Science and Surveying, Rudy combines technical expertise with a deep passion for viticulture.
Mike Livitski:
Mike and his wife own a small family vineyard and olive orchard in Lockwood under the name Vivacitas Estate. Prior to diving into the AG life, for 9 years the family owned and operated an olive oil and wine bar franchise called We Olive in downtown Walnut Creek. Mike belongs to the local Wines & Steins organization, California wine appellation certified and is active with local growers in his community. He balances his fulltime technology job with vineyard
management, being an aspiring winemaker and spending time with his awesome wife. As a small grower being very hands on helps Mike appreciate the challenges small growers face each day.
