HEAT ILLNESS PREVENTION - SUPERVISOR TRAINING
During this training attendees go over the required materials to conduct the Cal/OSHA required supervisor/employee level training. Trainers will be provided with the necessary information to train employees from a classroom perspective.
FORKLIFT (POWERED INDUSTRIAL TRUCK) CERTIFICATION & RECERTIFICATION
Anyone operating a forklift in a winery is required by Cal OSHA (T8 CCR 3650 & 3668) to have forklift operators’ certificate on file verifying competency. After a classroom session, passing a written test and skills evaluation (must have previous experience) the operator will receive a Certificate of Competency valid for three years.
ADULT ONLY FIRST AID/CPR/AED
Cal OSHA (T8 CCR 3400) requires supervisors who manage/supervise employees to have current Adult Only First Aid CPR/AED certification. CHIPP also requires that supervisors with First Aid/CPR training be available to assist employees with heat illness symptoms. We will cover basic Adult First Aid and CPR/AED techniques to stabilize an injured worker for first responders. Participants will receive an Adult
First Aid/CPR/AED only certification card and certificate from the American Red Cross that is valid for 2 Years.
