This is a Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR)-approved Train the Trainer course and we want to make sure IGGPRA Members know about the opportunity. Space is limited to 25 participants per course, so choose your location (it will be at Castoro in Templeton April 10th and 11th) and reserve your spot soon.
It is free of charge and open to all.
This full-day, in-person, interactive workshop is offered in English and Spanish, and includes a continental breakfast and lunch, and will cover the following topics:
- Laws and regulations affecting pesticide handlers including the use of labels and safety data sheets
- Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for handlers
- Safe handling and transportation of pesticides
- Pesticide exposure, and signs and symptoms of illness
- How to identify directions for emergency medical care and decontamination for the different pesticides
- Techniques and resources qualifying participants to train others
